Professional reputation as being among the most experienced, trained and accomplished experts within a specific local market or area of specialization
10 years or more experience as an appraiser
Prior Expert Witness experience or willingness to serve as an Expert Witness
Membership in a professional appraisal organization or advanced specialized training
A commitment to observe the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), along with all applicable federal, state and industry standards of care
Maintaining a state appraisal license or certification in good standing
Strong writing and communication skills, comfortable being deposed or cross examined
